Time flies fast, especially when you’re engrossed in a writing project, aka, a really serious blog topic for a post that is WOW (full of Words Of Wisdom).
Wow…dang, double…dang…yes, look at the clock, time flies by really fast.
Just like a windy day, as the sun sets aglow behind the scene of the bird feeders. Those feeders blew all day long and caused the trail cam to snap useless photos. No real meaty material there.
The wind calmed in time for one deer to stop by in the middle of the night.
Well, of course, I’m still using it to my advantage. Because I ran out of time to write finish the real post I was going to share.
There’s no way in heck I’d be able to write the words to go with the WOW photos that you’re going to love-hate be fascinated with if you like horror stories of sorts.
So I had to come up with something quick. Tizzie Wizzie is quick.
Hmm…that won’t work…now what?
What can I use for W? Waves…
Quickly find something! Because the letter for the day is W, not Q, and I just have to post something for W. I’m so close to the end of the alphabet, I can’t quit on W for goodness sake.
Quick like a pheasant mom, running through the yard trying to find a place to lay her eggs. Silly bird. Neither start with W, though.
She reminded me of the seagull running through the waves in Jamaica.
I searched my recent photos to find a photo or two to make it a win, yet again so that I won my way to the end of a post for W.
Water. And a bird drinking water.
Of course, silly me, that was easier than I thought. Why was I trying to make it so difficult? There’s always trusty ol’ water. Plus, everybody knows I love a gorgeous ocean view water scene. Don’t you?
Post Inspiration – A-Z Blogging Challenge – W
PS – Happy Friday all! Enjoy the end of the WEEK! What plans do you have for the weekend? Does it involve water? Do tell…
Those are great photos, Shelley. Love that cat.
Thank you, Dan! 🙂
Busy weekend as always for me, gotta get up early to take The Girl to a volleyball clinic then spend the rest of the weekend cleaning house, doing yardwork, shopping, etc… Y’know, life!
Aw, I remember those kind of busy weekends. Enjoy every minute – the cleaning never goes away, but the running to volleyball clinics, that’s flies by very quickly! Happy Friday to you, Denny!
I had trouble with W too. Wonder why that was?
LOL! I think you did awesome coming up with stuff to write about!!!
Wonderful warm witty wise worthwhile words!! Well written! 🙂
I have water on the mind from all the rain – on the bright side, it is not water on the knee. Any water this weekend will be rain and slush (and I don’t mean a Slurpee). I heard some Midwest states might get 6 inches of snow. I hope you are not one of those locales. So, if you thought “W” was a head scratcher, what will you do for “X”, “Y” and “Z”? This is quite challenging to do. Great pictures as usual Shelley. I love the birds at the fountain that you did of the blue jays and in today’s post also. Very peaceful watching them.
Yes, we’re due for rain/snow. It depends on how the storm tracks how much. Hopefully not the 6″ this time. LOL – these last few letters of the alphabet are doozies. Thank you for your encouragement of my winging it to the finish line. (Bird pun…? not funny?!) 🙂
I had heard maybe 6-8 inches of snow for Minnesota – hope that is not on track for you. Well, we are just getting 1-2 inches in my neck of the woods and it gets to 56 degrees by early afternoon, so it will melt. Yes, winging your way to the finish line is funny! You are “Xtra” funny today, … there you go is your “X”, “Y” is easy, use the word “you” though I think you did that already for “U” … you could ask a question with “Y” (instead of “why”?). Well if you run of ideas for “Z”, you probably know that Canadians do not pronounce this letter of the alphabet like “zee” but say “zaid” (like said). My mom refused to succumb to saying “zee” and stuck with her Canadian pronounciations and words unique to Canadians the rest of her life. You could do a post on pronunciations (the old you say tomahto, I say tomato routine). Scones for instance … we call them a scone (rhymes with gone) and Americans call them scone (rhymes with phone). The British influence on Canada had us pronouncing words like a Brit and writing them with the “u” in colour or the “re” for centre rather than center. You’ll figure out something. March will not go out like a lamb with a zephyr, instead it will go out with a roar.
We didn’t get any snow! Or rain, which we could use for the ground. And it is 21 degrees this morning. I’m thankful there’s no snow. Wow – I should just cut and paste what you wrote, then I won’t have to think of anything…hmmm…I like it. Plus I learned somethings too. Thanks!!
I didn’t realize you had already written “X” … I always read comments first and I was slow getting here as I devoted yesterday to grocery shopping and a couple of errands. And grrrr – we didn’t get any snow and every weather station/meteorologist went on and on about it as late as 10:00 last night
so I decided to just sleep in … awoke to find a beautiful morning and no snow, just like you found. Heading out shortly and will get a long walk and some pics in as well hopefully. They cancelled a Tigers game in Chicago due to heavy snow, so one would assume, but you know what they say about assuming ….
LOL! I’m glad you got more sleep and I’m glad it is nice for you to go walking! I’m hoping it warms up enough for us to take a walk today, too! The weather is crazy…south of us did get snow. I heard Chicago was to be hit with the storm. Happy Trails to you!
Not a flake – I got a really late start which I hate as the day sped by. Enjoyed my trek to the site of the “Mutt Strut” but it was way too soggy and I had to bypass the main trail which was 5-miles long according to my research before going there. I re-reread where you assemble and I wanted to scope that out as well and truthfully I am no further ahead, unless it is well marked the day of, I’ll reach out ahead of time. It was a sopping mess there in some places – too much rain, nowhere for it to go! Hope you got a walk in too Shelley.
Way to scope out the place ahead of time! We didn’t get any rain that was expected. It was dry and pleasant (wind was cold) enough for a 2.25 mile walk outside! It was awesome. I didn’t realize how much I’ve missed that. Even if I do appreciate my treadmill in the winter, I miss the fresh air. Soon this crappy weather will disappear for both of us.
And the sun out is even better. We had 40 degrees with a real feel of below freezing this morning when I set out. It rained lightly on the way home and never stopped raining until a short time ago. The weather is just abysmal and I’m rethinking how silly it was adding the extra mileage to my goal as we now only have 8 months left in the year. I usually only tack on one measly mile.
Yeah, yesterday’s weather here was gloomy. We needed the rain, and I had to work so I didn’t really mind it too much. I hope the weather warms up and that you get your miles in. Isn’t it funny how sometimes goals we set become almost human and say to us, “Oh really, prove it to me?!” Hang in there, it will get better and you’ll accomplish your miles!
Well I hit 242 miles today and so have 1,000 more miles to go. (Gulp!) However, I usually set my goal as just one more mile than the previous year, so my miles for 2018 were 1,162 miles (quite a few miles over my original goal) and so this year would have been 1,163 … however a few people who live in Canada and use kilometers said “make it 2,000 kilometers instead” so I have saddled myself with an extra 80 miles. I hope I can get there and will give it my all. Tomorrow is a new month and the sun (if it’s around) will be rising earlier, so I need to get at least 5 miles a day walked, more on the weekend. Hmm. You’re right – we need the goals and wait til you read my post tonight about Michael Posner … now there is some inspiration to walk nearly 3,000 miles this year!
You can do it!! Thanks for sharing the information about Mike – that’s a great quote, I like it! Even better than Forrest Gump, right?! 😉
Indeed! Now he should write a book about the people and sights he saw along the way.
