Kittens learn to walk, albeit wobbly like, by 3 weeks. After gaining a bit of confidence, they start to venture out by themselves at about 4 weeks for their first walking meeting with other animals.
Imagine being a very small little kitten without any litter mates to join you on adventures. Wouldn’t that be a bit intimidating?
This little gal is the only kitten in her litter. She’s brave but very cautious.
Her little neighborhood area consists of tall weeds with shadows that are scary to her as she ventures out.
She can see a few kinds of animals on the outskirts of her neighborhood. Lots of things to see and meet when she takes her first walks alone. Chickens, ducks, butterflies, and other cats, oh, my.
The chickens make a lot of noise. This gal likes to interrupt the other cats from eating their meal.
The chicken swoops down and tries to eat with the ducks. Take note – boy, oh, boy, that chicken doesn’t know how to make any friends. The momma duck quickly put her in her place!
The ducklings have big mammas who are really protective and scare off anything that comes near their babies. This momma keeps a watchful eye out for any potential intruders to her area.
A little pause to clean a paw is in order. This walking meeting is a bit scary.
Whew, safe so far, the cleaning session hasn’t drawn any extra attention.
Time to wander a bit further out of the jungle of weeds, stopping to sniff along the way.
Just a few more steps to momma and the safety of perching on the boot of a new friend.
A successful walking meeting! EverydayAdventures2017 – Walking meeting.
