What’s a girl to do when she breaks free from silent whisperings and lets others know of her blog space? Duh, celebrate, right?
Guess you had to be there.
I can’t explain it well. Let me try.
When you have the creative itch in you, and you’ve forced it mute for so long, just hiding those voices, going unexpressed, it’s…it’s…
Dangnabbit…I’m at a loss for words.
Again, again, again, I tell ya, it’s like what I went through going gray. You’re excited and scared all balled up into one crazy a** head!
Are you kidding me? Gray analogy again?? Really??
Scratch that, try something else! (Grab the camera, silly – let the pictures do the talking!)
When at a loss for words, this girl pulls out the craft supplies and makes an adorable mouse.
Drinks a martini and sits in silent admiration. Of the mouse, not myself! It took me 2 hours to handcraft this little guy.
Being creative is exhausting and exhilarating all at the same time. Whew – give me four olives this time hunny.
Cheers – you did good hun! Sip, swallow, (smooth – one never gets over the first sip of a martini) – sigh of contentment as we sit in the silence of an empty nest house.
Man, that’s a gorgeous sunset.
Sip again (the second sip is always easier). Whenever I drink a martini, I think of mom. She loved a good martini! Toast to Nana! Yessir, she would be proud of me being brave like her.
What do the house companions do to celebrate? Sit quietly, of course – (they don’t drink martinis or make mice – just chase them).
But damn, they are entertaining to watch as we sip away, bite our olives and blow air at their faces. (We’re terrible, the torture of it is maddening…!)
They don’t make a sound, their eyes speak lust for the olives. All my husband has to do is put a little olive juice on his hand and they’ll worship the ground he walks on.
One martini is enough for this exhausted gal!
Dessy, on the other hand, is always the last cat standing. Where did the olives go???
You have adorable kitty cats, but I would never guess that olive juice is attractive to felines. I wonder if my two would like kalamata olive juice…may have to give it a try. No martinis, but I’ll say cheers to your adult refreshment if you allow me to toast with my brandy old fashioned.
My kitties, Gibbs and Ziva, want to know if you have any spare crafty mice.
Thank you, our cats love compliments – they are primadonnas! We discovered their love of olives quite a while ago – they attacked a bowl of them we had set out for Thanksgiving dinner. They react to it even more than catnip. Ah, a brandy old fashioned is not out of the realm of possibilities. My husband teases me about the pace of construction of the little mice. He said we’d go broke if I relied on selling them. Each one is handcrafted with lots of TLC – no two are alike!
I love this one! I could totally pocture what you were saying!
Thank you, I appreciate your feedback on being able to relate to what I was saying. You’re a true cat lover no doubt!
