This dog is addicted to the nosey mosey

Well, well, well, okay – since you’re all a tad nosey, I’ll take the bait.  I’ll share some things about myself that you might not know.

I have this thing.

This thing is called an addiction to mosey along the fence line of the yard.  Taking my sweet ol’ time.  Dodging each posey in the patch as best I can.

I like to take my time when the weather’s nice.  When it’s cold, not a chance.  Then I’d rather stay in the cozy house.

When it’s slightly cool and wet, I’m willing to venture out.  Especially when the gate is open and I can run to this corner of the lot.  My front paw seems to be attached to the direction my nosey turns.

I have this other thing.  It’s called Mrs.  She, along with her camera in hand, follows me wherever I go.  She’s nosey about where I goesy.

She likes these little yellow posies that are everywhere I turn.  Getting my nosey all rosy with yellow fluff.  That makes me all sneezy.  Mr. really needs to mow soon.

Jeez…This part of the lawn is almost as tall as me!  I like grass better than the snow when it’s this tall.

Mrs. doesn’t want me to go to places I shouldn’t put my cute little sniffing where I’ve been many a time before nosey.

When she catches me, I pretend not to notice her.

Or I stick my tongue out at her.

I get away with those things, on account of I’m really damn cute.  And she can usually be distracted by a posey or two while I mosey.

Speaking of that…it’s time to mosey along!  Hope you have a great weekend!

This post inspired by Linda G. Hill’s Stream of Consciousness Saturday #SoCS – Rhyme with Rosy – if you’d like to join in on the fun, mosey on over to her blog by clicking here.

PS – I’m nosey, do you like hearing from Copper?  Which photos do you like best – close-ups or further away?  Copper wants to know if you think I’m too protective of him, he’s really curious about the contents of the woodpile and thinks if he gets enough votes, he should be free to sniff? What are your plans for the weekend?

  1. I understand walking with the nosey dog. It is fun to watch them sniff and imagine what they know. I loved: “She’s nosey about where I goesy.”

  2. This was very cute Shelley and I like when you write about Copper and I like him with a little attitude – it becomes him. Just tell him I said “Copper, Mrs. loves you and that’s why she is nosey where you mosey!”
My favorite photo this time is the one where he sticks out his tongue. I liked seeing one paw in your foot fetish post the other day too! I’m toying on whether to head out – is the sun still there? It will impinge on “studying” if I stray too far and I want to work with the camera. Other that I’m sticking close to home. Enjoy your long weekend.

    1. Thanks, Linda. Copper just nodded and sighed…he’s pleased with your kudos and he knows, I love him, and that he’ll be out to mosey today – we can’t let a sunny day go unattended to! Happy trails to you – enjoy your weekend!

  3. This was fun! And yes, I agree with Copper, you’re being a little too protective. But then, I don’t know what kind of vermin hide in the woodpile…

    1. Thanks, John, so was your take on the prompt!! Now I have Josie stuck in my head!! I’m not quite sure what’s in the woodpile, and I have fears it might be bigger than Copper…or he’ll chase it. I hate having to run after a dog on a nosey not so mosey along trail!

  4. I enjoyed every picture of Copper … close and further away. Definitely vote for the free sniff. lol
    Happy Saturday Shelley!!

  5. Great photos and such a sweetie! It’s hard to get good pics of our #2doods, they love to race around the backyard. Sometimes I can catch them at rest if they don’t see me on the deck. LOL!

    1. Thank you – he’s usually on the move too, so I just have to get down at his level and click and hope for a picture or two.
