The Livery in Eau Claire, WI is a must try place if you’re in the area. A long time favorite stop of mine.
They have a great menu for lunch and dinner. The atmosphere is charming and rustic. It isn’t just a college bar, all ages frequent there and appear to enjoy their visit just like me. The conversations seem to flow as you look around and see others enjoying their time.
The staff is great and always willing to share their thoughts on what is good to try or what is recommended for your type of tastes. They have a great tap beer list with several options for all different taste buds (or suds)!
Last night I met a friend there for dinner and tried their Quinoa Salad for the first time. I loved it! Not only is it loaded with spinach, but all the toppings complimented each other and I just kept eating until it was all gone! Kind of a first for me! Normally, I have a take home box to share with my husband. The salad even complimented my appetizer choice. My true love from The Liver, a must have every time I go there…the Sweet Potato Tots. We shared a platter, and simply couldn’t stuff in the last 5 tots. Score, perfect little replacement for my take home box for you know who! If you love sweet potatoes like me, you must try the Sweet Potato Tots! The Livery’s secret sauce they serve with them is awesome too! I still wish I could duplicate it at home, but have never been successful. No worries, I always know where to go to find it when the craving hits!
