Take it from someone who grabs her camera daily, asking me to pick a few favorite photos from 2019 is…

Eye-opening to say the least!

At least they’re all digital.  Otherwise, they’d be stacked really high, and I’d be broke!

Seriously, though…I hope you enjoy this ‘it-was-tough-for-me-to-limit’ peek…

    1. Thank you, Dan. Ditto to you. I enjoyed your photos, and all the adventures you’ve taken. I’m looking forward to what you’ll share in 2020.

    1. Thank you, John. You take so many beautiful photos, I’m touched by your appreciation of mine. Even the snow ones, ‘cuz you love snow ;-)!

    1. Yes, and you like the crow photos too! LOL – I asked my hunting family experts what they guesstimated his poundage to be. This guy roams a five mile radius around our house. I’m glad he normally stays put. (PS – I may have added a few pounds to the guesstimate, I didn’t want to be the only one who tipped the scales this holiday season! ;-))

    1. Thank you, Janet! Same to you. I look forward to seeing you rock your goals in 2020. I may need some advice on how to refrain from eating the cookies I have left!! 😉

    1. LOL – I may need to get another trail cam to catch Bigfoot in action! Is a bigfoot afraid of bears? That might be why I haven’t seen one yet?! PS – stop sending snow our way, we have enough for a while!

  1. All photos were so wonderful but the family portrait is the best. So wonderful to still have family close even when grown. Have a great new year.

    1. Aww, thank you, Anita. Yes, we feel fortunate that they live less than 4 hours away from us. Daytrips are possible. I look forward to seeing what the New Year brings for you. Happy New Year’s Eve!!

    1. Thank you. Yes, I know you understand – you have so many wonderful photos, I don’t know how you limit your choices. Each one fits perfectly with your posts! Happy New Year to you too!

  2. Wow, you have such a wide variety of favorites, it must have been really hard…so many excellent images. But then I got to Copper…and being a dog person, I decided that one was my favorite of all your favorites.

  3. Such a wonderful gallery for the year Shelley 🙂 How did I miss that bear post!!!! Love how you composed this post. Happy New Year to the empty nest folk

    1. Thank you, Brian. I don’t know, how did you miss the bear post!? 😉 I appreciate your encouragement. Happy New Year to you too – I hope the fires are taming or have gone out by you. I’ll be by to check out what you’ve been up to soon!

  4. A wonderful collection of last year’s favorites, Shelley! Excellent shots and excellent mix. A minor chock seeing that bear in your garden! Love the bunny, love them all – but to see your beautiful family together made me smile! A very healthy, prosperous and calm new year I wish for you, with many lovely meetings with family and friends. And more pictures from your garden!

    1. Aww, thank you Ann-Christine. I’m so glad you enjoyed the mix I chose. I wish you and yours the same. And I am looking forward to seeing all the photos you’ll share this coming year.

  5. So many beautiful shots, Shelley. A lovely look-back at the year. My favorites include your family shot, your daughter drawing, and your adorable pets. All the best in 2020!

    1. Thank you, Patti! I’m glad you enjoyed the photos. I wish you the best in 2020 too – I look forward to the challenges you come up with for us to expand our skills and learn more about photography!

  6. What a beautiful family photo–well done! And your flower pics, especially, always stun me. I look forward to many more images in 2020. Enjoy your New Year’s celebrations, Shelley!

    1. Thank you, Rebecca, I’m glad you enjoy my photos. Each year, we get the drill down faster. 😉 Enjoy your New Year’s celebrations too – relax, put your feet up, and soak up all those moments with your handsome young chaps who will, by the way, grow-up really really really fast! 😉

  7. What a great collection of photos – I’ll have to set aside my faves during the year. I did a gallery of photos that is on my blog site, but that was to date and did it in early 2018 I believe … “fifty favorite Park pics” but I could add a lot more and delete a few of the earlier ones too. Cheers to you in 2020.

    1. Thank you, Linda! It’s hard to limit the shots – I know I’d have a hard time with all the great photos you’ve taken over the year. Cheers to you in 2020 too. I look forward to seeing what your walking goals will be!! 🙂

  8. Wonderful choices Shelley. I too loved that you caught the best thru a window I hope LOL. And your shot of your daughter at work is beautiful. Many blessings to you and your beautiful family in 2020

    1. Thank you, Tina. I was outside in our fenced in area when I caught the bear shot. As he got closer, my husband made me go inside. I sure wish I would’ve had a bigger lens!! Same to you – many blessing for 2020. I look forward to seeing what you come up with for Lens-Artist challenges in 2020!

  9. Ha ha! Excellent. Nice selections, well photo’d. Bear with me on that 400-pounder! Wow. Also, I’m not a cat person, but great shots of kitty. Best wishes for 2020.

    1. Thanks, John! I wanted to get closer to the bear…kind of like your giraffe photo, but Mr. Bear wasn’t tame by any means and he was on a mission to walk the neighborhood. Your selection of photos was fun for me to look at. You definitely have a great eye for capturing great photos!

  10. Wow… these are great selections. Beautiful and special. Bear in your backyard…
Beautiful family, Shelley. 🙂 Happy 2020 to you!

    1. Thank you, Amy. I appreciate your encouragement. Your post was wonderful – great quotes too. Thank you for all you do to keep the Lens-Artist challenges going. Happy 2020 to you too!

  11. you should be very proud of your photography – because it is beautiful – and bud waiting to open is amazing and should be for sale on one of those sites.

and love the family pic – noticed the Ron Jon stickers – is that a family room ?

    1. Thank you, Yvette, I appreciate your encouraging words about my photography.
It’s so fun to have a family photo take each year. I love looking back to see how we’ve grown together. Yes, Ron Jon stickers are from our honeymoon (30 years ago!) and it is our ‘Man Cave/Bar/Family Room’. 🙂

      1. Thanks for sharing – and we try to get the family pic each year too.
And was that cocoa beach Ron Jon’s? fun place to honeymoon –

    1. Thank you, Laura. Happy New Year to you and yours!!! I look forward to seeing what you’ll be blogging about this year!

A gorgeous post!! Hugs xx
