As a writer, blogger, or photographer, how often do you feel boredom – ho-hum, BLAH…? Just plain ol’ blah about your efforts?
Hopefully, feeling like that is rare for you. Despite the fact that we all have the freedom of expression at our fingertips, sometimes its hard to find the words to write to keep our blogs fresh and stunning.
The good news is because you’re human, it means there will be days when your ideas just seem to vanish into thin air, and you wonder what the heck you’re doing.
That’s okay, it happens to everyone – it’s a normal part of blogging!
But, as an aspiring artist, what should can you do to keep your writing fresh, alive, and full of vim and vigor?
Sure, you can always sleep on an idea until you’re ready or nudged awake to write.
That’ll work for a while, but then you’re gonna have to do something to grab on to a fresh new idea.
Lucky you, the really cool thing about blogging is that it is up to you-you can choose what to write about each and every time you appear out of nowhere and land at your computer to write.
You can write about how you got there or who joined you on the journey.
You can write about the stuff like-minded people would enjoy, or the differences we have even when we’re presented with the same topic in the wild kingdoms we live in.
You can write about bathing routines that keep you looking your best, or maybe about tips for the onlookers who just want to admire your beauty tricks from afar.
You can write about how you spread your wings and got ready to launch your new idea that took you off to moments of stardom.
You can create tasty bits of entertainment to nibble on or simply add a splash of color with a photo or two or more…
You can write about steamy things to heat up your blog. Don’t be chicken about it, there are people out there craving such things. Seriously…!
You can write about how you’re feeling under the weather, sore throat and all, and how your chef made you the most delicious chicken noodle soup. And then write about how much you love him to pieces because he spoils you so much.
Line, after line, after line, the ideas will collect for you and you’ll be posting fresh ideas in no time. All you have to do is just let the steam out, and write what you’re passionate about.

PS – What are your tricks for staying fresh and healthy during the flu season? Do you love chicken soup when you’re sick? Have you ever made chicken soup in the Instant Pot? OMG – it is soooooooo delicious! Happy Weekend to you all! Stay well! xx
Hi, Shelley! I can definitely relate with the ideas vanishing sometimes. Great advice you have.
My family and I love chicken soup! It’s what I prepare too when we have colds and flu.
Hi, Winnie!! Thank you for stopping by, it is always a joy to hear from you! Yes, chicken soup is great for colds and flu!
You’re welcome, Shelley!
Nice blog inspiration there! I am currently working on getting some ideas together for more consistent posting. Wish me luck!
Thank you! Ooo…I can’t wait to hear what you come up with! I wish you luck!!!
I haven’t gotten an Instant Pot yet. My kids are still at that don’t want anything to touch anything else phase, so no soup, stew, casseroles. All the things I love to eat when it’s cool out! Great ideas for when the blogging font (or pot) runs dry too. Thanks!
You’ll love it if you get an Instant Pot – we make pasta, soup, chicken, all sorts of things, even dog food in it! I wouldn’t want to wish your kids to grow up too fast, they do that fast enough as is, but I hope they find the love of warm soups for you soon! Thank you for sharing your thoughts! xx
I’ve been thinking about the Instant Pot. Sounds like a good idea especially if it really makes things easier. More time to write! And yes, kids grow up fast – I never understood that before it happened.
Blog ideas…scraps of paper in every room. With pens. Inspiration can hit in the shower! Enjoyed your post Shelley.
Yes, the Instant Pot will save you time. My husband is the pro with ours, he has over 300 recipes. LOL – great tips on leaving paper around to capture blog ideas! Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the post. I appreciate you sharing your thoughts.
I really like the part about the husband being the pro. Thanks for the great gift-for-husband idea 🙂
You’re welcome! 🙂
