If you’ve read some of my past posts, you know I adore sunrises and sunsets. Taking photos during the golden hours is the best time for me (or anyone who is interested in great photo opportunities).
I love to romp around the yard, play with my camera and catch some great shots. Even during the sunny time of the day, fall in Wisconsin is colorful. Copper loves to join me and investigate in his own little way.
Superly excited side note here: I just came across a weekly photography challenge I’m going to do. I’m pretty excited that it is a weekly challenge. Maybe, I’ll do a daily one, but first I’m giving this a whirl to make sure I understand the process and what I’m supposed to do. Hopefully, there will be some helpful people there who will let me know if I’ve missed the boat and how to get back on board. Hint, hint, feel free to comment on this post!
This past week’s challenge was Glow.
So yeah, the glow challenge fits this post.
Fall glow in rural Wisconsin is a gorgeous time of year. The trees are a beautiful mix of reds, browns, yellows, oranges, rusts, and greens.
The field surrounding our yard contained soybeans for this year’s harvest. When the farmer harvested them recently, he somehow missed this tiny little patch.
As the sun was setting it was shining on the uncut area and drew my attention to it.
I glanced to the left and saw the sun shining on the yellow maple tree and the bright orange and rust ones in front of the pine trees.
I turned to the right and spied the glow of the sun on our maple tree. This year, it still has some green mixed in with the yellow. A green bay packer fan tree I guess.
Even our small patch of pampas grass was glowing as it waved in the wind.
I glanced up to see my favorite – the sunset! That night it was calling me to watch it. I love the cool fall air in the evenings as the sun sets. The warmth of the sun against the cool air creates stunning, vibrant, and glowing sunsets. Ah, simply beautiful!
