So you’re on the fence and wondering if this blogging thing is worth all the effort?
It can be lonely here in the blogosphere, that’s for sure.
What’s got you worried? Is it fear that your blog will never take off? Or that it’ll feel like you’re naked and all exposed to the world? It easier to stay private, isn’t it?
Face those fears head-on. Write about what you love. Go ahead share your world, you might just like the new friends you make along the way. That’s the best part, trust me.
Take a leap of faith and jump right in with other blogging friends and see what happens?
You’ve got it in you to be a blogger, and man o’ man, splash away while you’re at it. You’re gonna love it, yes you will!
Don’t worry, go ahead and feed the hunger inside of you, the one that aches and craves to create.
Sure, it is scary to publish that first post. We all felt scared at first, you’re not alone! Launching takes bravery and the ability to embrace what comes next. Go ahead – do it!
Once you do, you’ll feel strength and courage to continue on even if it isn’t exactly what you dreamed it would be. It’s worth the efforts you put into it.
You’re different from the other bloggers, it’s okay to stand out even if you write about the same things that they do. We all have unique perspectives worthy of sharing with the world.
Remember to be true to YOU, the authentic and beautiful YOU! You’re gonna love it when you stop putting pressure on yourself to be perfect. Really!?Yep! When you give into the sweet melodies of life as a blogger. The fence that seemed like a barrier holding you back instead becomes a solid support. A place to land once in a while as you learn the ropes and meet new friends.
Don’t worry, you’re gonna love being a blogger! And if I can’t convince you that you’re gonna love not worrying…how about a song to sing for the day? At least you’ll have a pleasant earworm for the day! 😉
Sing it to us, Bob…
‘Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Singing’ don’t worry about a thing
‘Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Smiled with the risin’ sun
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin’ sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Saying’, (this is my message to you)
‘Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Singing’ don’t worry (don’t worry) ’bout a thing
‘Cause every little thing gonna be alright
Smiled with the risin’ sun
Three little birds
Pitch by my doorstep
Singin’ sweet songs
Of melodies pure and true
Sayin’, this is my message to you
Every little thing gonna be alright, don’t worry
Singin’…
Love the photos and the way you articulated. Thank you for your kind and encouraging words to the bloggers community .
Thank you, I’m glad you enjoyed the post and I appreciate your feedback and encouragement too!
Great post. Very encouraging. Publishing a post is still very intimidating to me, even after 4 years.
Thank you, Indira! Keep on writing, and you’ll continue to find the courage to press publish!! 🙂
Amazing message and photos! Loved it! 😍✨
Aw, thank you! I appreciate your enthusiasm and encouragement for the post! 🙂
Brilliant and inspiring. That is also my second favourite Bob Marley song. My favourite is ‘Is this Love’ but it wouldn’t have gone with your theme.
🙂
Thank you, Kristian! I love that Bob Marley song, too…it’s hard to choose a favorite some days, but the 3 birds won my heart as the star of the show today!
It is a lovely one.
I think those sweet birds want their own blog! I may recognize them from previous posts :). I love “Blackbird” by the Beatles. I will even sing along…if I am alone that is. What do I love about writing? I suppose it’s seeing on the “page” what is bouncing around in my head [after writing until it makes sense!!] Fun post, Shelley.
Yes, I bounce my photos around and use them in different posts – and I take a lot of bird pictures too! 😉 I love that song, too!! I sing along to songs when I’m alone…never have been able to carry a tune in front of people!! LOL! Great way to embrace your writing modes! Thank you for sharing your thoughts and feedback, I so appreciate it!!
So encouraging to hear! It’s not about stats or blog taking off. Just be YOU!
Yes – be true to yourself, and your words will flow and eventually, your blog will grow too!
Sounds easy to do but putting into practice is something else. What an exercise blogging is on strengthening that geunuine self muscle! Thank you for rhe constant encouragement and your sweet words. 🙂
You’re welcome – by the way, your post of yesterday https://singlikewildflowers.com/2018/09/26/thankful-for-a-great-year-since-ellis-heart-surgery-on-sept-25-17/ shares with your readers the strength, the love, and the perseverance that every mom needs regardless of their situation. Raising kiddos requires genuine self-muscles (I love those terms by the way!!)! Congrats on the 1 year anniversary of the heart surgery. As I always say, your family’s smiles always warm my heart! xx
Thank you Shelley for your very kind compliment and for liking my muscle term!! hahaha Yesterday was just any ol’ day, but it was amazing to me how one year ago I was in that crazy anxious state. I was sitting in Ellis’ gymnastics class, now including her brother in the class if promised he doesn’t have to wear tight pants, and blown away by her resilience and how we picked up on life and started living. An uneventful day is a good thing if you have small kids. Your thoughtful comments always make me happy. I hope you know it’s very encouraging and sweet!!
Aw, you’re welcome! I bet your heart was beating with joy as you watched Ellis bounce around! I love it that her brother is good with it if he doesn’t have to wear the tight pants. They sound like two kids that know what they love and aren’t afraid to go for it. That is a testament to great parenting!! Way to go! Thank you, too, for all of your encouragement you share with me, I’m truly touched every time you share your thoughts!!
Love your birds. And the fun of blogging.
Thank you, Anita!!
LOVE these
Glad you enjoyed them! Thank you!
These little feathery creatures are not only beautiful but also full of inspiration for us. Very lovely snaps you have taken of them 🙂
Thank you, I’m so happy you enjoyed the photos!
I like that story you made out of the photos. I agree of course. Why worry if others are writing similar blogs? They are living similar lives too. It just gives us experience to share.
Thank you for sharing your insights, I agree with you too. I like how you described it as experiences to share – that’s a very nice way to put it!
Love this post Shelley. Great words and photos 🙂
Thank you, Brian, I appreciate your kind words! – I enjoyed your begonia shots – simply beautiful!!
