In our hometown of Chippewa Falls, WI, you can find many bodies of water with boats of all kinds of shapes and sizes. We don’t live right on a waterway but can drive to them easily enough. It is peaceful during the mornings to look out at the water. Morning water is so calm and the boats are usually dockside. It is a great time to catch some photos.
Ahh…a perfect morning. The sun was rising and glistened on the fog as it rolled across the ground. I grabbed my camera and kept my fingers crossed as I left the driveway. Hopeful there would still be fog on the lake when I got to my chosen spot to capture some early morning photos of sailboats.
Yes! The fog was still rolling across the lake. The Lake Wissota Yacht Club was a great first stop to catch some photos. Yes…morning on the water is absolutely beautiful, don’t you agree?
I took a few photos at this landing before heading out to the next spot.
Over a bridge and through the woods to the next spot.
A couple of fishermen were enjoying the calm water and the quiet morning. Fishing in Chippewa Falls is a popular sport. Mornings are my favorite time to fish too.
They were too far from the bridge to contribute to this mess on the power line.
I spied several boats docked and resting along the shoreline. Parked and ready for the next trip out on the lake. They’ll no doubt be motoring about on the lake on the Labor Day weekend. Fall is starting to show signs of arrival, with the pollen and turning leaves floating on the water.
I looked under the bridge and saw some colorful graffiti.
I looked up and saw a bird’s nest. No one home, but interesting how the birds used fishing line mixed in with the rest while they built their nest.
Definitely a peaceful morning on the water. I’m kind of jealous I don’t live this close to the water to walk down at any time and enjoy the view.
This boat doesn’t look like it will be going anywhere soon, but it still looked peaceful on the quaint little pond sitting there in the sunlight. You never know where you’ll find a boat in Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin!
Happy boating to you! EverydayAdventures2017- Boats
