Hey Copper!
Yeah, what sup?
Remember when we saw the sun dog in the sky two nights ago? To the right of the sun as it set the night before the full moon? Maybe you couldn’t see it? I know the snow is piled kind of high in your parts of the yard.
Yeah, why?
I vaguely remember that night, it was so many poops ago.
But, do tell, I love a sunny funny story about dogs in the sky?
Well, it’s not that funny, the ol’ wives’ tale means that precipitation is on its way. Sorry to say it, but we have more snow predicted for today, up to 5-7 inches of it.
You’re kidding me, aren’t you?
NO! Please, no more snow!
If I ignore you and what you’re saying, will it go away?
It’s not fair, I don’t want more snow.
I’ve got barely a spot to go in already!
I’m so damn tired of the snow…it’s really quite the bore.
Plus, if there’d be more snow, then where in the yard will I go?
I’m serious, are YOU going to shovel?
Now, that’d be funny and kind of interesting…
I’m waiting…
I think I’ll settle in for a nap in the meantime.
to be continued…
Post Inspiration – Linda G. Hill’s One-Liner Wednesday
PS – Please send sunshine, or Spring, or share your blog’s link if you’ve got warm photos to share of doggies running in the sun and green grass! We’re in serious need for a warm kind of pick-me-up tale.
Your action shot of Copper yawning is great. If only I could achieve his kind of indifference to the weather outside my door. Stay warm and safe as you enjoy more snow.
Thank you, Ally – he’s perfected the yawn over the years. I just wish I could perfect the down-dog yoga pose like he does. He’s just so agile for his age, I’m so impressed. Hope you stay warm and safe too!
Stay safe and warm!💯
Thank you!! 🙂
Copper is a cute little dude! I love how you matched your words with his face. More snow, that’s insane Shelley! Wow, make a taco of yourself in a blanket. ☺️😎
Yes, he’s a cutie, that’s for sure, and uses it to his advantage as much as possible. I know…this snow is crazy and it’s coming down heavy!
Our dog loves the snow, but she does like having a path to walk in. Maybe a few more scoops to give Copper a little more wiggle room.
Isn’t it funny how adapted dogs become to plowed paths? Both Copper and I need more scoops, and extra cheese…you know, for mood boosting effects?!
I understand. Approved on this end.
Poor Copper! He needs spring at least as much as his humans do. My hubby is out shoveling a poop spot for our dog Benji as I type! 🙂
Yes, WE all need spring! Poor Benji, he knows exactly how Copper feels.
Ha ha – you matched Copper’s expressions perfectly to the narrative – in fact, my expressions were about the same as Copper’s – my mouth shaped like an “O” for OMG!
LOL – Copper just knew you’d like his expressions, he’s glad you stopped by to see him!
Yup, Copper’s expressions and your words matched to them gave me a smile.
Hopefully yours was not bad. We got lucky on the inches. Expecting 2-5 but got the low end. Bad for us was freezing rain on top of it. Stay warm and tell Copper to wear his coat.
We ended up with 5″, but it was accompanied with horizontal winds, so it piled up in weird places. We’re supposed to get rain and snow this weekend. Copper is trying to figure out how he can come with us on our trip. He’s not sure how to get a passport this late in the game, though.
LOL. Put him in sun glasses and a straw hat and no one will know the difference.
LOL – that’s awesome, I’m sure he’d appreciate the efforts. 🙂
Our friends are returning to WI tomorrow. Maybe they will bring the Texas sun with them. We can hope right?!?!
YES, please send the sun! Your friends are going to wish they were able to bottle it and sell it. It would be very profitable for them if they could.
Love this! 😀 <3 We've had about 8" of snow today. Spring is soon though!! Really! It is! 😛
Thank you, Linda! I hope it is…I really hope it is!!
